It is definitely a show you do not want to miss. Oh, and don’t forget to wear red.Grammy Award-winning San Diego singer-songwriter Jason Mraz, Foo Fighters, Miley Cyrus and rapper YG are among the 35 artists who will perform online at independent venues Oct. Do not miss your chance to attend a show once YG and his posse make their way to your city. These artists made it feel like everyone was a part of one big family. The energy that every artist put out into the venue was projected back by the reaction of their fans. Seeing the diversity of the crowd really showed that music can bring people together, even if it is just for one night. The show took a political turn when YG had something to say about the President on “FDT ”, by the time YG reached the hook of the song, he had everyone yelling at the top of their lungs, “F**k Donald Trump!” “Bompton’s” finest, YG, silenced a venue of over 7,000 screaming fanatics as he asked for a moment of silence, after performing “Bompton Finest ”, for his close friends as well as anyone who has lost friends or family due to gang related violence or to the prison system. Fans lost their minds as YG gave a snippet of a track he will be featured on for rapper Blueface’s “Thotiana Remix”. With that being said, YG proclaimed, “Seattle! This is my first time selling out a venue by myself as a headliner! 7,200! Thank you! I love you! For that I’m coming back every single year!” YG wore his heart out on his sleeve for everyone who was in attendance and showed his immense amount of appreciation for their support. YG’s set included tracks from his most recent album Stay Dangerous, and also took fans back in time to his early days as he performed hits like “Twist My Fingaz”, “BPT”, “Bicken Back Bein Bool”, “Toot It and Boot It” , etc. This night turned out to be a milestone for rapper YG as it was his first time selling out a venue as a headliner. His lyricism gave insight on his trials and tribulations as a gang member with the purpose of writing while righting his wrongs and for those looking for guidance. It’s no question that Mozzy has the potential of becoming one of hip-hop’s most influential artists The Gangland Landlord wasted no time as he rushed to the stage with such a powerful tone of voice performing tracks from his most recent album, GangLand Landlord. Mozzy gave everyone a prelude of what was to come for the rest of the show. The Queen of 4hunnid records, Kamaiyah, made a smooth entrance with such flavor and confidence. The energy of her explosive set was setoff as she rapped, “Remember when I didn’t have shoe strings, now I pull up, hop out, watch that coupe swing,” from her track “I’m On.” Her control over the crowd was trans-mundane especially with tracks like “F**k It Up” and “How Does It Feel ”, just to name a few. The sounds of G-funk/Hip-hop had everyone doing their dance. He had his fans both going wild and on their toes during his entire set. Eearz took ownership of the stage as he ran back and forth and hardly stayed in one place. Eearz decided to end his set with a bang and took it upon himself to get on top of the barricade which separates the fans from the stage. Fans were so wild that some couldn’t handle being in the crowd and had to be pulled out by security. Rapper, Eearz, wild performance established that an opener can bring the same energy as a headliner. His ability to control this massive crowd during his set was breathtaking.
